Brad 3/8/12 Lake Tahoe The brakes squealed as the plane moved(p) down in Reno, Nevada. I got off the plane and base on balls through the airport all I could remember is one-armed bandit machines; there was the sound of people cashing out their winnings or cussing to the highest degree what they lost. We proceeded to the baggage claim area where my family and I waited for our baggage to come around the conveyer belt. afterwards getting our baggage we went out front where we found our shuttle after see the area for several minutes. We were almost there and I couldnt wait, as we rode through the valleys of the Sierra Mountains I found it dire how quickly it was turning from green land to a screen of snow. That was a very good thing though, for us as we were planning on skiing for the next week. The mountain looked zilch like I have ever seen before. They made the mountains that I had been used to skiing in Vermont look like hills. I could already tell that the trip was going to be awesome, and I was looking forward to the great views, skiing, and all the fun I was going to have. As my family and I walked into the hotel room I could observe a chill go down my spine. I went business for the thermostat, punching it up to eighty degrees.

It felt like opening an oven access as the dry blast of heat came barreling towards my face. My ears were still band from the long, but scenic flight across the country. My nose was fluid from the crisp cold air, but I was glad to be at Lake Tahoe, and looking forward to what tomorrow would bring. The bright sunshine shining through the window acted as my alarm clock, waking me up. Then the smell of bacon and eggs sizzling really got me pumped. After breakfast we all prepared for a great mean solar day of skiing as we all dressed in about three to four layers of clothing.
