People communicate for different reasons, to portray their feelings, emotions, pain and opinions. The talk could be professional (formal), or personal (informal).

Reasons people communicate are alter and depend on the circumstances surrounding it. We may engagement various forms of communication to help build relationships. When meeting newfound people for the first time we might engage into some form of communication whether its a smile, a wave or say just by saying hello. With this first blast at communication we are setting the foundation for prox relationships.





Once a relationship has been established we then have to work at opposeing those relationships. When we work we are helping to nurture that relationship every time we say hello or goodbye and while we may mostly engage in trivial conversations that do not strictly have a professional purpose, like asking how their holiday was or commenting on a new dress, we are using communication to maintain our relationships with others. Gaining and sharing the information we obtain through communication leave help us in the way we work with others.
