Teaching as an Art and Science
Teaching as an art and science. The art of doctrine makes an employment appealing to
children. In this presentation we have put unneurotic an acitivity that defines just that. We have
chosen to re-create a romance with the students employ a powerpoint presentation and a pop the questionor.
Our age group pull up stakes be six to seven year olds, however this action mechanism can be used with the entire
elementary group, simplifying or adding complexity where needed. We will begin with a brief
summary of the activity. We will whence define the three comp onents teaching, art, and science
and tell how our activity combines the three and increases the authorisation of the learning
process.
The teacher will begin the lesson by selecting a story, in this case The Three Little
Wolves and The Big Bad Pig. At the end of the story the teacher will open the
pre-prepared powerpoint and project it on to the screen so that the whole year can
see. The powerpoint will have prompts for the story in it, and as a class we will fill the
rest in. The kids will dictate to the teacher their thoughts. Finally the teacher will
present the slideshow and the class will read together what they put together.
If
something is wrong, or the flow of the events in the story are off, we can go back and
change it.
Now, lets scent at the three components separately and how this activity relates to each
