Sabina Crane is a career counselor at Maybridge High School. She has been with the initiate district for five-spot forms and from each one year has received outstanding evaluations for her performance as rise up as the maximum merit pay increases available to her. She in any case has been given awards from national organizations for her work with high school students.
To her surprise, Sabina was notified by the superintendent’s business leader that her contract for the next year would not be renewed. Because renewal for the contracts for her position had been relatively automatic, no renewal meant essentially that she had been fired. When she asked the superintendent’s office for an explanation, she was told that her face-to-face lifestyle was not compatible with her work with high school students. After pressing further, she learned that the superintendent’s office had been told that she was bisexual and had a female lover.
She did not deny this hardly felt that it had nothing to do with her ability to do her job. As a result, she entreatyed the decision but was unsuccessful with the appeals board. Finally she took her appeal to the school board.
The school board is made up of five elected members. Four members have made public their response to this case, and they are divided evenly, with two supporting and two fence Crane’s request to be renewed. You are the twenty percent member of the board. How will you vote? Explain.
