On a majority, the Muslim population is very giving. This generosity is shown when Mortenson gets separated from his guide, Mouzafer, on his climb up down from K2. Instead of leaving Mortenson, Mouzafer searches for the man on the broken terrain. Mouzafer is worried for Gregs safety and does not descend the plenty until Greg is with him again. After being found, Mortenson wanders of course again and reaches the valley of Korphe.
