Delegating is a very common process that managers or directors determination to distribute work among the individuals in the department setting. It is an important stair to getting different tasks accomplished and keeping team members involved on the happenings of the company. This paper will discuss the benefits of delegating within each of the four functions of management, how delegation should be used to arrive at those benefits and how delegation could be used more effectively in planning, organizing, leading or controlling with my organization.
As we begin our journey to finding out the benefits of delegating, it is important to note the definitions of the four functions of management. They ar:?Planning ? setting of goals and deciding on a rail of action?Organizing ? establishing the structure, rules, and guidelines for the company?Leading ? Influencing people to get the trade done by setting the direction and the tone for the market-gardening or lifestyle?Controlling ? Bringing success to the fall into place line by setting standards, measuring results, and taking disciplinal action. (Bateman & Snell, 2004)My company is called terce College of Nursing and Health Sciences. It has been in existence for over 100 years through seven-fold entities, including six predecessor programs.
