regional offices at New Delhi, Cuttack and Guwahati
4 To nominate awareness among members for bridging gap between guidelines for
censorship and current swerve in films through workshops and meetings.
5. To adopt modern technology for certification process through computerization of certification
process

To maintain transparency to the highest degree Boards activities through replies to RTI queries and
publication of annual report
Duties/ of import functions/activities of CBFC
To certify the films produced in and outside India for public exhibition as below :-
`U security department for universal exhibition
`A present for public exhibition to Adults only
`UA certificate for public exhibition of films which stinkpot be viewed by children below age of 12
years under parental guidance only
`S certificates for public exhibition of films meant for members of all profession or any class of
persons.
To refuse certificate to the film unsuitable for public exhibition if the film or any part of it is
against the interests of the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the States, friendly
dealing with foreign State, public order, decency or morality or involves slur or
contempt of court or is likely to incite the bearing of any offence.
