All in all, they have similar effects on Alfred, who is scared into quiet down by the way he f rustrated these caring adults. remote Mr. Carr, Mrs. Higgins is large and plumped and could be livid and bitter, emotional, or friendly and, by all appearances, completely in charge of a situation. She is to a fault a shaky person who is almost at a breaking point with her children but, when she meets with Mr. Carr, she is very friendly and dignified.

She appears to be utilize to Alfred, but she is also aware of how he acts and feels he causes her as well as much trouble. Alfred just knew his mother was going to punish him in a horrible way, which she did not. However, Mrs. Higgins is a different person than t he unrivaled she displays in public. Hes aware that Alfred Higgins is stealing from him and confronts him about it. though he is stern with Alfred, he does not yell at him. He speaks to him calmly and comes across as tolerant and kind.
